We are located in Shoppes at RiverPlace in Perrysburg at the corner of Route 25 and Eckel Junction Road just off Exit 2 of I-475/US 23. Do you know where Levis commons is located? Well, when you get off the expressway, you turn South to get
to Levis Commons. Instead of turning South, turn North to find RiverPlace right at the bottom of the overpass. We have quite a few landmarks in our plaza: Walt Churchill's Market, Charlie's Restaurant, El Vaquero Restaurant, the License Bureau, Buffalo Wild Wings and Kitchen Tools & Skills -- just to name a few. You will find us right between the Hallmark Shop and Gino's Pizza. We hope you will visit us!
Our
Rich, Decadent History
The Chocolate Shoppe opened July, 1996 selling
wonderful chocolates from just 8 companies. Over the years,
we have featured as many as 40 different companies in our
Shoppe. In 1996, our shelves were filled with just chocolates.
Today, although chocolate accounts for 95% of our business,
we also sell preserves, nuts, cookies, tea, coffee and
other confections depending on the season. We still feature
the companies that were with us at the beginning such as
Lake Champlain Chocolates, Birnn Chocolates of Vermont,
and Boca Bons. Our expanded lines now
include many new companies from across the country as well
as Belgian and Swiss chocolatiers.
No chocolate is sold in the
Shoppe without passing The Chocolate Shoppe taste
test and appearance inspection. We have taken a different
approach to the usual gift baskets and customers have loved
it. Straw totes, French water buckets and ceramic dessert
trays filled with scrumptious chocolates are just some of
the past gifts that have been wildly popular with our customers.
We want you to have only the best. And we think you will
agree that we have done just that. We have many repeat
customers via the Internet in addition to those who visit
us in the Shoppe.
Our Sweet Leader
The Chocolate Shoppe is my, Debra Greenley Gorman’s,
creation. I love chocolate—love to eat it, love to
receive it and love to give it. So, when I decided it was
time to own a business, what else but chocolate! When not
in the showroom working with customers, I attend gourmet
chocolate shows looking for and tasting new and exciting
products. I attend gift shows selecting upscale packaging
and buying beautiful ribbons. I believe that presentation
is half of your gift, so I take great care in matching
delicious chocolates with eye-catching packaging. Remember
my gift giving rule: Chocolates are the perfect gift because
you don’t have to water them, you don’t have
to dust them and you don’t have to worry about setting
them out for someone to see!
Our Delectable Associates
The Chocolate Shoppe takes great care to ensure
your chocolate gift is perfect. That takes time and talent
that our Sales Associates possess. Jean, Tricia and Darlene’s
smiling faces are in the showroom. They talk with customers,
help them to select the perfect gift and serve chocolate
samples. They work with our corporate accounts recommending
gifts for clients and employees that will show how much
you appreciate them. They have a special rapport with brides -- offering expert advice on colors that will compliment their special day. Norma is the champion
gift wrapper and works miracles behind the scenes. Dave
is in charge of quality control—he does a lot of
sampling. We work together in preparing orders, doing shipping
and answering email.
Our Beautiful Shoppe
We love The Chocolate Shoppe and we think you will
also. You can spend an hour just learning about all of the
chocolates we have in the Shoppe. We sample in the Shoppe everyday
and have a special price on our sample of the day. So, please
